Vertebrogenic Centre – Neurologie Mištríková A specialised part of comprehensive neurological care for adult patients

Within my neurology practice, I provide comprehensive and modern care for patients with acute and chronic spine pain, radicular syndromes and intervertebral disc herniations. Thanks to long-term experience in neurology, advanced diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, the Vertebrogenic Centre of Neurologie Mištríková was created, offering complete diagnostics and therapy in one place.

I provide a unified neurological concept for patients with back pain, combining neurological examination, electrophysiology, modern physical therapy and an individual approach. The goal is precise diagnostics, personalised care and modern, professionally guided treatment of vertebrogenic disorders. This approach is above standard within outpatient neurology and allows patients to undergo clinical examination, diagnostics and therapy in a short time and at one location.

The vertebrogenic care concept includes the following components:

NEUROLOGICAL EXAMINATION 

Comprehensive assessment of the nervous system, radicular syndromes and functional blockages.

ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSTICS 

  • EMG (electromyography) 
  • MEP (motor evoked potentials) 
  • Assessment of nerves, nerve roots and muscles, including evaluation of possible motor pathway impairment, for example in spinal canal stenosis or disc herniation. 
  • This examination is useful for differential diagnosis and also before planned cervical or lumbar spine surgery (and in selected cases after surgery).

PHARMACOLOGICAL TREATMENT 

  • Individually tailored medication management for pain. Medication is selected according to the type of symptoms, their intensity and the patient's overall health.
  • We help manage: acute and chronic pain muscle spasms radicular irritation inflammatory processes neuropathic pain
  • Medical cannabis therapy is available for selected patients with chronic pain as part of an individual treatment plan.

MODERN PHYSICAL THERAPY 

  • High-induction pulsed magnetotherapy (Salus Talent A) 
  • Kinesiotaping 
  • Low-level laser therapy (LLLT)

How the visit works: 

  • Booking – by phone or online via Reservio. 
  • Diagnostics – neurological examination, determining further steps, including consideration of EMG/MEP indication and treatment planning. 
  • Treatment plan – selection of the most suitable therapy or combination of methods. 
  • Follow-up – evaluation of treatment effect and adjustment of therapy.


Acute neurological examination – 60 minutes 

  • Choose this option if you have sudden onset spine or limb pain, a new short-term problem, no previous documentation, or need quick assessment and treatment. 
  • Suitable for acute blockages, sudden neck or back pain, radiating limb pain, tingling or weakness.
  • Recommended for patients without previous neurological history.

Comprehensive neurological examination – 60 minutes 

  • Intended for patients with long-term or recurrent symptoms, those who have been examined by other specialists or need a second opinion, and those who have medical documentation available (reports, EMG/SSEP/MEP results, X-ray/CT/MRI findings, imaging on USB, CD or via e-PACS). 
  • This examination allows detailed analysis and precise identification of the cause of symptoms.

How to provide imaging and documentation: 

  • Please bring reports from previous physicians, examination results, and imaging on USB, CD or via e-PACS. 
  • If you have 5 or more documents, please send them in PDF format by email. 
  • In case of extensive documentation, a fee of 700 CZK per each started 30 minutes may be charged for review and preparation of a detailed medical report.
