Internal Regulations
These Internal Regulations apply to patients, their accompanying persons, and all other individuals present on the premises of our neurology clinic.The Internal Regulations outline the rights and obligations of patients, who are required to comply with them in order to receive healthcare services provided by our medical facility. Violation of these Internal Regulations will lead to the lawful termination of care at our clinic, pursuant to Section 48, Paragraph 2 (d) of Act No. 372/2011 Coll., on Healthcare Services, as amended.In the event that you do not agree with the points of the Internal Regulations listed below, you may choose another neurology clinic that better suits your preferences.Patient RightsPursuant to Act No. 372/2011 Coll., on Healthcare Services and Conditions of Their Provision, you have the right to:
- Healthcare services provided at an appropriate professional level.
- Respect, dignified treatment, consideration, and privacy during the provision of healthcare services.
- Choose a medical facility that corresponds to your needs, except for exceptions stipulated by law.
- Request consultation services from another medical facility or healthcare professional, except for exceptions stipulated by law.
- Be informed of the Internal Regulations of the medical facility, which are visibly displayed in the common areas and are available to you (at our facility, in the waiting room areas and on our website).
- The continuous presence of a legal representative/a person designated by the representative, or another person designated by a court, provided that their presence does not disrupt the provision of healthcare services.
- Be informed in advance of the price of provided healthcare services not covered or only partially covered by public health insurance, and the method of their payment (the price list is available in the waiting room areas and on our website).
- Know the names and surnames of the healthcare professionals, other specialized staff, students, or interns directly involved in the provision of your care.
- Refuse the presence of persons who are not directly involved in the provision of care, including students and interns.
- Healthcare services provided in the least restrictive environment possible while ensuring quality and safety.
- If you have a sensory or physical disability and use a specially trained dog (guide or assistance dog), you have the right—with regard to your current health status—to be accompanied by and have the dog present with you during your visit to the medical facility.
- Communicate in a manner comprehensible to you and using communication methods of your choice, including interpretation by a second person.
- Any medical procedure within the framework of healthcare provision can only be performed with your free and informed consent. You may freely withdraw your consent at any time (this does not apply to mandated isolation, quarantine, or compulsory treatment under the Public Health Protection Act, nor does it apply to situations where a procedure has already begun and its interruption could cause severe health damage or endanger your life).
- Designate a person to receive information about your health status (and define the scope of the information provided), or conversely, you have the right to forbid the provision of information to persons designated by you.
- Receive all information about your health status, as well as the right to refuse to be informed about your health status. Information is provided by the physician.
- Inspect your medical documentation in the presence of a healthcare professional, and the right to obtain extracts or copies of the medical documentation (you do not have the right to take the original documentation out of the office; it remains the property of our clinic).
Patient Obligations
- Persons present on the premises of the neurology clinic are obliged to maintain cleanliness and order (i.e., dispose of waste in the designated bins), refrain from smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages and/or intoxicating substances, and manipulating open flames.
- It is strictly forbidden to damage the interior spaces and equipment of the office and waiting room (this also applies to children present in the waiting room as accompanying persons). Likewise, it is forbidden to remove any equipment from the office, waiting room, toilets, and other areas. In the event of damage, compensation will be required from the individuals or their guardians or legal representatives (including minors) in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
- It is forbidden to enter the premises of our clinic with weapons or other items that endanger the health or life of our staff or patients.
- Please do not enter rooms designated strictly for staff.
- It is forbidden to enter the waiting room and office premises with animals, with the exception of an assistance or guide dog.
- For patients with limited legal capacity, the legal representative or guardian is responsible, and we require their presence during the examination.
- Please observe social norms and be considerate toward other patients as well as toward our staff.
- In the event that your behavior restricts the rights of other patients, and your behavior is not influenced by your medical condition, the provision of healthcare services by our clinic will be terminated.
- If you exhibit symptoms of a respiratory illness (cough, runny nose, sneezing, fever), please put on a face mask or respirator, or request one from us before entering the waiting room or office.
- If you suffer from another infectious disease or cannot attend the examination or check-up for any other reason, please call or send an e-mail; we will gladly reschedule you to a more suitable date.
- It is forbidden to take photographs, video, or audio recordings in our clinic without prior written consent.
- If requested to do so, please verify your identity using an ID card or health insurance card.
- The patient is obligated to follow the proposed individualized treatment and diagnostic plan. In the event that you do not agree with our recommended examination or treatment procedure, you have the right to express your disagreement by signing a negative reverse (informed refusal), i.e., a written statement refusing a specific form of medical care (treatment) or examination.
- Prior to certain examinations, it will be necessary to read the instructions in the informed consent form and sign it.
- Before the examination, the nurse or physician will go through the informed consent form with you once more and answer your questions—for instance, in the case of an EMG examination or magnetotherapy treatment with a high-intensity pulsed magnetic stimulator. This serves to ensure your safety before and during the examination (including preventing the examination of patients for whom the procedure is contraindicated, i.e., a double-check).
- We request that you provide truthful information about your health status, previous treatments, and other information that may have a significant impact on the provision of healthcare (including the utilization of healthcare services from another provider, the use of medications, or addictive substances).
- Above all, if you are a carrier of an infectious disease, you have a legal obligation to inform the medical staff of this fact.
- Prior to a scheduled check-up, please maintain an appropriate level of personal hygiene.
- To arrange for confirmations or other administrative tasks, a neurological examination before a planned surgical procedure, or occupational health screenings, please book an appointment in advance.
- Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your examination due to potential administrative procedures, such as filling out informed consent forms, education, etc.
- The order of patients is determined by the physician: acute patients have priority.
- You are obligated to pay the price of the services listed in the price list, including administrative fees (you will be informed of the price in advance). The price list is available on the website, in the waiting room, and from our staff.
For security reasons, the entrance areas and the waiting room are monitored by a camera system (CCTV).The purpose of this monitoring is to protect the life and health of patients (e.g., cases of loss of consciousness, epileptic seizures, etc.) and our staff, to protect both our property and yours, and to prevent vandalism.We do not automatically transfer personal data from the camera system to anyone.We only transfer data from the camera system if required by legal regulations, or if such transfer is necessary for investigating or proving occurred incidents or unlawful conduct. In accordance with the preceding sentence, the camera recordings may be transferred primarily to law enforcement authorities, administrative bodies, or courts. In other cases, we will only transfer the data based on your explicit consent.
