BAEP/brainstem auditory evoked potencials

The examination is a supportive diagnostic method used to assess possible impairment of the auditory pathway. BAEP testing is performed by a trained nurse. The patient sits and wears headphones through which sound stimuli are delivered alternately to the right and left ear. The results are evaluated by the neurologist.
